About the role
This position reports to the National Head of School and involves leadership in the National School of Education and ongoing support for the operations of the School, including teaching, research and service/engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading the implementation of School of Education courses and programs nationally including contributing to quality assurance, accreditation and achievement of targets.
- Undertake strategic teaching, research and/or leadership projects within the School in consultation with Head of School.
- Contribute to the learning, teaching and research performance of the School.
- Manage campus staff in the context of University delegation, including supervision, workload, working from away arrangements and leave management.
- Represent the school in a campus-based setting providing local responsiveness to and with campus-based Committees, external stakeholders and or industry partners.
- Participate in training, and Community Engagement in the context of organisational and Faculty strategies.
Qualifications, skills & experience
In addition to the requirements for the Academic Classification Level (typically of a Level D) that underpin this role, the following apply:
- Continuing academic role in the School of Education
- A Doctoral qualification in a relevant discipline area.
- Demonstrated success in tertiary teaching in the field of Education.
- Demonstrated research outcomes commensurate with the academic level of appointment.
- University leadership experience at Program or Discipline Coordinator or similar level.
